I consumed more power than I hired. What can I do now?

When migrating to the Deregulated Energy Market the customer must have an effective power management. A risk that exists, especially in times of instability such as the current one, is that the amount of power consumed is bigger than that of the contracted power.
There are two possibilities for dealing with this situation:
- Exposure at CCEE: in this option CCEE counts power outages according to PLD hourly value. Companies must be careful since the consumer will be exposed to penalties for insufficient power ballast.
- Short-Term Market: another option is for the consumer to purchase the power excess in the Short-Term Market. In this case the power will be valued based on the monthly average PLD plus an operation spread (premium) which is negotiated between the parties. Proposals for this type of negotiation have a short validity.
It is necessary to consider that the entire operation takes place in a short period and it is necessary to make the decision quickly and correctly. Therefore, effective power management is very important and it enables the customer to find the best option in a timely manner.
